Commute from Liberty: I-35, 291, and KCI

Saturday afternoon is not your Tuesday. Here is how Liberty actually connects to jobs and the airport.

The grid

Liberty sits on I-35 (south toward downtown Kansas City, north toward Kearney) and MO-291 (north–south through Clay County). MO-152 is the east–west Northland connector a short hop west — useful for the airport, Parkville-side jobs, and the Tiffany Springs employment cluster.

Realistic ranges (not marketing minutes)

DestinationWhat buyers should plan
Downtown / Crown CenterOften 25–40 minutes via I-35; worse in incidents and winter.
Northland employers (Barry / 152)Frequently the easier Liberty commute — 15–25 minutes from many addresses.
KCI airportTypically 20–35 minutes via 152; a real reloc advantage versus south KC.
Johnson County / OPDoable, not pleasant daily. If the job is JOCO-heavy, say so before we lock Liberty.

Where you live inside Liberty matters

West Liberty / 291 and I-35-adjacent addresses feel different from far-north or far-east pockets. We map commute against the actual job pin, not a city centroid.

Compare Gladstone (closer-in) and Kearney (farther up I-35).
