Kearney sits farther up I-35. Relocators who want newer homes and do not mind the extra interstate segment compare it constantly with north Liberty. Liberty wins on downtown character, LPS (versus Kearney’s own district — verify), and access to the rest of Clay County. Kearney can win on lot size and price per square foot.
